DO MORE Mobilises Disaster Relief for Flood-Affected Families
#000000
As a South African non-profit community development organisation working across the country, the DO MORE FOUNDATION supported by its founder RCL FOODS, has been coordinating a disaster relief effort to help the over 3,600 families affected by the catastrophic flooding in Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
DO MORE is working with the local municipalities, early childhood development (ECD) centres, community-based partners and Gift of the Givers to keep abreast of the extent of support required. Its focus is on securing donations of and for essential food supplies, which are being distributed through partners on the ground.
The following donations by RCL FOODS and its subsidiary business units are going to the affected communities:
- 2000 loaves of Sunbake Bread
- 14 tons of maize meal
- 13 tons of sugar
- 3360 jars of Yum Yum Peanut Butter
- 1500 bags of Monati Sorghum Porridge
- 1920 bottles of Number 1 Mageu
- 84 bottles of Nola Mayonnaise
DO MORE also received the generous donation of R1-million from Hollywood Foundation.
A huge thank you to all partners that responded to the call to DO MORE!
