#000000
The DO MORE FOUNDATION's World Food Day Campaign brought together a wide range of organisations from the public, private and non-profit sectors across South Africa to provide more young children their basic right to nutritious food. It was testament that the spirit of ubuntu is alive!
Partnering with East Coast Radio, we turned up the volume on the fight against childhood hunger and malnutrition, with t-shirt sales and donations resulting in over 1101,000 meals of DoMore Porridge to feed young children in ECD centres in KwaZulu-Natal. Thank you to all the businesses, individuals and partner organisations that made this happen!
Our DoMore Heroes, implementing partner organisations, Young Child Forums and ECD centre cooks and practitioners, and key external nutrition and healthcare organisations all played their part in promoting better nutrition literacy in their communities. Find out what this campaign was all about here.
The huge impact made from this year's World Food Day campaign was a success thanks to everyone who got involved, whether by purchasing t-shirts, making donations, making time to engage in conversation and share knowledge about nutrition, or rolling up sleeves to prepare and cook meals.
